It is often argued that the standard of education in Pakistan is dropping day by day, well it’s actually true. This results in a number of dreadful consequences not only for the present generation but also for the future ones along with the future of country. The main reason for this is the dark side of Pakistani educational institutes.
The sole reason for the drop in standard of education and students lack of interest in studies is due to these so called educational institutes. Unfortunately the noble deed of providing education to people has turned into a business. These institutes which were once nurseries for the future of country have become banks and money making shops.
What happens here is that these institutes hire the best teachers available in their respective fields and ask them to teach children but this actually doesn’t happen. In reality the same institutes have some sort of academy in the evening time with the same teachers. So when the teacher does not teaches in morning, students are forced to come to evening classes because it is only there that the best teachers are available. This also leads to the lack of interest of students in studies. They no more give attention to what the teacher says in class because they have a ‘back up’ academy to help them with. This has greatly deteriorated the standard of education.
Another ill practice of these institutes is that no check and balance is maintained on what the teachers and students do. The above paragraph just describes one case. In some other case where the institute doesn’t have their own academy, teachers call students to their private academies. This blame also rests on the shoulder of these institutes.
Hence, there is an immediate need to address this issue which is particularly popular in private schools. The institute responsible for looking over private schools should pay attention to this matter.
